The UN General Assembly later voted to combine these bodies into a single new entity in order to promote cohesion, gender equality and advancement of woman’s empowerment. The aim of the committee is not only to fight poverty, analphabetism and spreading of diseases within the women population of the globe, but to react whenever a violation of any of the human rights is being reasoned by the victim's gender.
